嵌入式CPU与通用型CPU相比呈现异彩纷呈的景象,世界上仅32位嵌入式CPU就有100种以上。嵌入式CPU大多工作在特定用户群设计的系统中,具有低功耗、体积小、集成度高等特点,有利于嵌入式控制器设计趋于小型化、智能化并与网络应用紧密结合。

嵌入式操作系统

现在国际上比较流行的嵌入式操作系统有:Microware的OS9,Sun的Java OS,Microsoft的Windows CE、Windows NT Embedded,自由软件RT-Linux等。我国凯思集团也研发了具有自主知识产权的通用嵌入式操作系统Hopen。

网络接口

网络接口为嵌入式控制器接入网络提供必要的条件。网络接口以32位CPU为中心,控制器完成网络接口的控制功能,通信接口有RS 232C串行接口,通信协议转发器接口、网络接口等。

利用嵌入式控制器、网络接口可以构建以太控制网络。在分布式网络计算平台的支持下,同样可以构建分布式控制网络。

技术要点

嵌入式控制器的操作系统平台、网络通信平台为当今世界流行的开放式平台,为以太控制网络的开放性奠定了基础。

嵌入式控制器的操作系统平台,如RT-Linux,功能强,应用软件开发快捷、方便。在Linux操作系统上开发的应用软件能直接在RT-Linux环境中运行,也就是说,开发嵌入式控制器应用软件无需专用的软件开发系统与工具。

功能强大的嵌入式CPU为嵌入式控制器提供高性能、高速处理能力及灵活的扩展方式。

支持TCP/IP协议,容易实现网络互联与网络扩展。

可应用各种网络作为嵌入式控制器接入主干网。这些主干网通信速率高,实时性好,并支持分布式网络计算,实现网络协同工作。

嵌入式控制器、网络接口、分布式网络计算平台不但能够构建开放的、功能强大的以太控制网络,而且容易实现控制网络与信息网络的无缝集成。

控制器的运算功能包括逻辑运算、计时和计数功能;普通可编程逻辑控制器的运算功能还包括数据移位、比较等运算功能;较复杂运算功能有代数运算、数据传送等;大型可编程逻辑控制器中还有模拟量的PID运算和其他高等运算功能。随着开放系统的出现,在可编程逻辑控制器中都已具有通信功能,有些产品具有与下位机的通信,有些产品具有与同位机或上位机的通信,有些产品还具有与工厂或企业网进行数据通信的功能。设计选型时应从实际应用的要求出发,合理选用所需的运算功能。
